Experienced technology executive with over 25 years of leadership experience. My expertise spans healthcare (payer, provider, pharmacy, life sciences), financial, airline, universities, and manufacturing organizations, making me a versatile leader in the field.
Purpose
What Drives Me as a CIO and Executive/Consultant
What drives me is improving business outcomes by simplifying the complex - connecting teams, systems, and strategies so customers and employees get better outcomes. I believe the CIO role is no longer about tech delivery alone - it’s about leadership, clarity, and creating conditions where tech actually advances the mission.
I'm a problem solver at heart and enjoy leading through solving problems and leveraging technology that helps people and organizations succeed.
Career Journey
My Foundation in Healthcare and Technology
I’ve spent 30 years building and leading technology across healthcare, from providers and payers to life sciences and pharmacy. I started in software engineering, moved through architecture, and then into IT leadership roles. I've been able to transfer the skills and knowledge to manufacturing/industrial, financial, and the airline industries. That healthcare foundation taught me to understand the full spectrum of challenge/opportunity/value capture and how to use problem-solving and leverage technology to solve real-world problems.
How I Grew Into a CIO & Executive
Over time, I stepped into large-scale transformation roles - leading M&A platform integrations at Optum, serving as interim CIO for a hospital, and advising hospital and payer execs on modernizing core admin, data, and digital platforms. I’ve led $100M+ budgets and teams of 600+, restructured delivery organizations, and helped health plans like Medica scale through modernization. I used the skills I developed in a highly complex, highly regulated environment to help companies develop new digital products, such as Marvin Windows and Doors Connected Home, where I led the architecture and the team that built the foundation for the solution you see today.
What I Deliver Today
Today, I’m a technology executive who aligns IT with business strategy — enabling companies to scale, innovate, and operate more efficiently. Whether it’s deploying enterprise platforms, fixing broken systems, advancing strategy, or enabling and implementing AI, I deliver both strategy and execution.
